Meet Colleen Mulhall-Briski
I began my career teaching writing and literature and supporting students as a librarian. When my family grew, I sought a more flexible role and found it at a nonprofit supporting educators, where I served as a communications director and member engagement coordinator. It was there that I had the wonderful opportunity to meet “the J team,” which led me to Thriving YOUniversity.
Working for an organization that centers on student and educator well-being resonates deeply with me. As a parent, I know firsthand how critical social-emotional learning is, not only for kids but for all of us. Having moved a lot as a child and experienced what it’s like to be “the new kid” time and again, I especially value Thriving YOUniversity’s focus on belonging and inclusion. And as a former educator, I love the emphasis on educator wellness—because I believe wellness begins with the adults who guide and inspire our children.
At Thriving YOUniversity, I manage marketing and communications and ensure our Zoom sessions run smoothly. I’m truly passionate about sharing the incredible work Thriving YOUniversity does with a wider audience.
Outside of work, I stay busy with my two teenagers and the many DIY home projects my husband and I tackle. I also love reading, writing, being in nature, and baking. A New Jersey native who has lived in many places, I have called Southern California home for over 20 years.
