The Social Skills Toolkit contains the tools you need to empower positive behavior. Based on 8 social skills (Listening, Managing Emotions, Following Directions, Getting a “NO” when you want a “YES,” Engaging Positively with Peers, Personal Space, Waiting Patiently, and Asking for Help), the toolkit allows you to address each skill weekly or focus on a specific skill that needs extra support with.

Each toolkit comes with a slide deck, posters, a course on trauma and behavior, resources, videos, writing and drawing activities, belonging activities, and circle questions. Click the button to learn more.

Elementary Level

The MTSS Tier 1 – Tier 2 Social Skills Toolkit Slide Deck is designed to equip you with the necessary tools to foster positive behavior. This Google Slide deck is structured around 8 key social skills, offering the flexibility to either address each skill on a weekly basis or concentrate on a specific skill requiring additional reinforcement. Each skill is accompanied by a range of resources, including videos, writing and drawing activities, belonging exercises, and circle questions. The way the toolkit is designed, is to minimize the amount of steps the student has to learn, and the amount of steps an educator has to teach. It is flexible, engaging, and prepares both students and adults for a successful school year. The toolkit also creates a common language for all adults on campus by providing classified staff and certificated staff the tools they need to engage in the same steps. No more mixed messages from the adults!

This Google Slide deck is structured around 8 key social skills, that were strategically chosen by intermediate teachers, to offer the flexibility to address each skill on a weekly basis or concentrate on a specific skill requiring additional reinforcement. Each skill is accompanied by a range of resources, including videos, writing and drawing activities, belonging exercises, and circle questions.

The 8 skills are listening, managing emotions, following directions, waiting patiently, getting a “NO”, engaging positively, asking for help, and responsible digital cititzenship. The lanyards can be distributed to classified and certificated, to mimic what is being taught in the classroom. The toolkit comes with a complete (40) set of each skill DESK TOP CUE CARD with written reminders of each step. You will also receive a Restorative Community Skills Card Deck. This card deck was designed to assist in challenging behaviors between students, or students and adults, to guide the student and teacher in restoring relationships.
